Megan Jauregui Eccles, author SING THE NIGHT (8th Note Press, 2025), writes dark, speculative fiction for young adults and is represented by Lauren Galit of LKG Agency  Her writing has appeared in Kelp Journal, Coachella Review, Ladies of the Fright, The Lineup, and Dwarf+Giant

 

She teaches creative writing at John Paul the Great Catholic University and is a former literary agent assistant. She holds a BA in Music from the University of San Diego and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of California Riverside—Palm Desert.

She lives in the foothills of San Diego with her husband, five sons, and various farm animals. When she’s not writing or rehoming rattlesnakes, she pairs lipstick to her favorite books on instagram and plays Dungeons & Dragons. She has been accused of owning too many books, but it simply isn't true.

Sing the Night and Elegy for a Dream by Megan Jauregui Eccles, a YA romantasy in which an ambitious soprano makes a Faustian bargain with a ghost trapped in a mirror to win a magical singing competition and restore her dead father's legacy, pitched as The Phantom of the Opera meets The Night Circus, to Celine Wang at 8th Note Press. Publication is set for 2025 and 2026; Lauren Galit at LKG Agency sold world English rights.
